Features & Fixes Details
Create plans to enroll in future dates
OpsAdmin has a limit that prevents enrolling customers with a Start Date past a certain threshold. This limit is determined by the configuration Maximum Start Date For Self Selected Switch in System Setup.
But what if the company wants to offer plans that allows to enroll customers from a certain date onwards?, for example, offer a plan that only during the month of August allows customers to enroll with a start date superior to September 1st; or from today onwards enable a plan that allows customers to enroll with a starting date during next year.
Now, this is possible with the new plans for future dated enrollments.
In the Plans Manager (and Affiliate Plan) there are two new fields under the Calendar & Additional Info section. To reduce confusion, the Start Date and End Date fields are renamed to Plan Enabled From and Plan Enabled Until.
The new fields are optional, and should be left blank if the plan is not intended to be used for future dates.
To explain how these fields work take a look at the following example:
This plan will be available until August 31st, but the customer will only be able to select a start date between October 1st and August 31st.
In the rates wizard, the date range is presented in the details section of each plan to prevent bloating the header with information:
It is recommended to indicate that this is a plan for future dates in the plan name or using the wizard highlight field.
When this plan is selected, the only switch / transaction options available will be those that are required to select a start date for the service, and those dates will be restricted by the plan configuration, as it can be seen in the image below where only dates from October can be selected.
This information is also available in Quick Enrollments:
In Sales Importer the system will validate that the contract start date falls in the future date range, again, in this example, the contract start date should be during October.
Finally, both dates are accessible for Autoresponders and Documents:
Import ERCOT Pricing Matrix
Now the system can import the ERCOT Pricing Matrix. Actually, the import process has been updated to be a little more flexible. This means that it should be able to import more files in the future, if at least the first 47 columns in the file remain the same, in other words, new files with extra columns will work without needing adaptations.
